Bibi and Stephen have created a series of exquisitely crafted, powerful programmes, widely acclaimed for the intimacy, imagination and playful immediacy of their performances.
Stephen is an internationally acclaimed conductor, composer and pianist. He was resident conductor at ENO, has conducted for the Royal Opera, Glyndebourne, Vancouver Opera, San Francisco Opera, Florida Grand Opera, in Auckland, Australia and throughout Europe. In the UK he regularly conducts for Grange Park Opera.
He has recorded Joseph James’ Requiem with Sumi Jo, his own composition Rainbow Bear (with his wife Joanna Lumley as narrator) and his Clarinet Concerto with Emma Johnson.
Stephen was Artistic Director of Buxton Festival until 2018, and as a pianist, has recorded the complete works of Butterworth, Delius and Quilter with baritone Mark Stone.
